A bench created from a single Sequioa log, with a brass inscription panel inset on the backrest. Behind the seat is a windbreak, woven from birch and hazel and profiled to represent the shape of Shotover Hill:

The bench and windbreak was erected in 2013 and paid for by a donation given to Shotover Preservation Society by Edith's family. Edith was the society's first secretary and a tribute to her, accompanied a description of the bench, in the the Summer 2013 edition of the Society's Newsletter.
